Possibly never used. You have a choice of an 8-count or 7-count set (or both) of porcelain Japanese place card holders which look like a ladies hand with some blossoms near the base. These date, most likely, to 1950's or 1960's, but do have a Victorian vibe.
And individual folder measures about 1 3/4" x 1 3/8" x 1 7/8". You wedge the place card in a space between the hand and the first blossoms, last two photos. I shops think the intended effect is that the hand points to the name.
I listed this set as DAVAR ORIGINALS Japan, even though only two labels in the 8-count say that, the rest just state "Japan". It looks like that the way to identify the set, this is how you find it online.
I am only providing photos of the 8-count set. The 7-count looks identical, except for the number of holders, and only one label is DAVAR ORIGINALS Japan, the rest is Japan.
CONDITION OF HOLDERS: Excellent.
