Vintage shops Italian Leather Bag/Purse/Tote in Panier Style by El Campero Good Condition Excellent Full Grain Saddle Leather

This is a quality vintage Italian leather bag by El Campero, hand made by leather artisans in Siena Italy.

The leather is gorgeously thick Tuscan saddle leather in chestnut brown that has mellowed and aged beautifully.

Generous size bag top width 16 inches x H 9 inches. Base is oval and is W across 13 inches x D 7

Inside it is shops lined in printed cotton and has a zip pocket

El Campero badge to front and on the zip pull. Embroidered El Campero patch inside the bag.

El Campero started up in the 1950s making boots and shoes. Later they started to make bags but no longer make them. They continue to make handcrafted leather boots and shoes and have a great reputation in Italy . The style is an informal and relaxed country style.

Good used condition. The leather has a warm chestnut brown mellow quality. Leather on the handles has darkened a little.
