We are fond of cultural Japanese art, specifically art in the form of vintage jewelry; wearable art. Occasionally we come across vintage Toshikana (a company that produced porcelain items in Arita Japan since the 1930's). They are just beautifully executed treasures that are shops becoming harder and harder to find. Over the years we have discovered earrings, pendants, pins, and unique little whatnots. This unique pair of vintage screw-back, hand painted porcelain earrings is wonderful. They are not signed Toshikane, the only mark being Japan.
The condition is excellent vintage, showing just a hint of age patina on the silver metal backs. These earrings are dainty, about 7/8" in height. Please note that the last two pictures include a vintage porcelain Noh mask button. It is sold separately; not included in this offering. We presented it for reference only.
