BOY WITH CALF, designed by Christian Thomsen and produced by Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory of Copenhagen, Denmark, with Model Number 772. The sculpture features a boy apparently in a battle of wills with a young calf. Both appear to be quite determined. This example is another of the figurines modeled by Thomsen in his Peasant Farmers grouping and introduced in 1906 . The backstamp on this example indicates manufacture in 1954. This first quality figurine would be a wonderful addition to your collection.
