The books retain their original covers and marbled pastedowns, but have been re-bound with new spines. Volume I has a stain on the frontispiece (both sides), the title page, and the tissue guard in between (see photo)...no other issues found. Volume II is clean on the inside with no issues. Bright gilt top page edges. Overall a Very Good condition set.
