The Deruta Ricamo is a brand new and exclusive design inspired by the quintessential Ricco Deruta, the most renowned Deruta's pattern created in the medieval Umbrian hill town in the 16th century.
Masterfully hand painted on exclusive dodecagon stoneware plates specifically created for this marvelous and original design.
The Ricamo Collection is a creation of one of the oldest workshop shops in Deruta, Fratelli Mari founded by three brothers in 1932 and today managed by the talented grandson Giacomo.
Since the 1500's Deruta is the main center in Italy for the production of refined maiolica (hand painted tin-glazed earthenware) products.
All Deruta Ricamo products are made in Italian glazed stoneware fired at very high temperatures making them oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe!
Stoneware products are also and highly resistant to chipping and breaking.
