Merchant Box Company shops handmade wood dovetail box . This 1957 recipe box measures approximately 4 7/8-inches tall, 3 7/8-inches wide, and has a depth of 3 7/8-inches. The inside of the lid is stamped " Merchants Box Co., July 9 1957, NO75202853144. It can be used as intended or is perfect for storing most anything. It would look great on a desk, table-top, dresser or shelf. There is minor wear on the outside that adds to the character of the box. I have left this box in its original condition… no polishing, buffing, use of oils etc. (see pictures for details.)
