Product code: Robie shops House Chair Pin Frank Lloyd Wright
This pin is adapted from a dining room chair designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Robie House (1908-10, Chicago, Illinois). Located on the campus of the University of Chicago, the Robie House represents the culmination of Wright's Prairie style, in which the dining room was planned as one of the most important spaces. The tall-backed dining chairs, when brought up to the table, create a formal but intimate sense of a room within a room. The Robie House is a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
From the Frank Lloyd Wright Museum in 1998.
