This piece is beautifully handcrafted. A stunning religious piece for your home or office or a gift for the sacraments like a first communion, baptism, marriage, confirmation, anniversary. This piece will look stunning on a collage wall albeit religious or not. The main subject and his surrounding apostles and angels make this a gorgeous decorative and unique crucifix. While it is a wall hanging, it may also be leaned effortlessly on a mantel or kitchen countertop or as part of a vignette. It will compliment any style given the subject and it is so tastefully done. One of our favourites we've come across in our antiquing adventures. It is perfectly imperfect as it does have flaws, but don't we all.

MEASUREMENTS: Approximately 11" H x 8" W x 5/8" D
MATERIALS: Wood and Paint.
COLORS: Dark Wood Back, Gold, Brown, Black, Red etc
CONDITION: Pre-loved with care. This piece is in beautiful vintage condition, but it does have signs of some wear as it is vintage. Vintage is not for everyone. There is a chip in the top right corner as seen in image 7 and some other minor bits of wear on the side of the cross and some scratches in the gold gilt paint. The hook on the back is useable. We consider flaws part of the charm. It may not be for everyone.

DESCRIPTION:
This is a super a great piece. Beautifully crafted wooden crucifix, hand painted, the gold gilt paint surrounding the centre raised colourful cross is stunning. The gold gilt painting has scrolled etching in it. It's spectacular. The centre cross is intricately done and Jesus is surrounded by 12 apostles and angels who are ushering him up to heaven.
A metal hook is on the back for hanging it on the wall.
The San Damiano Crucifix is a painting by an unknown artist from the 12th century where St. Francis was praying and then called by the Lord to rebuild the church. The original is found in Basilica of St. Claire in Assisi, Italy.
