Fantastic French Antique/Vintage Doll.

"Parisette" costume doll.

This is a very sweet French doll. Her face is made out of celluloid/plastic and quite delicate. There is no damage that I can see to the doll. Her clothes are sewn to body so unable to remove them. She has lovely blue painted eyes with eyelashes an thick curly blond soft glued on hair. She has a fancy lace bonnet attached by pins with silk flowers that have faded with time. She has a beautifull smile. She is wearing tradtional old style French clothes, which are faded a little and a beautiful train of mauve silk down the back. Her clothes are all original as is her bonnet. Wearing her original long panti knickers. Her shoes are painted on as are her socks.

Her arms and legs can be moved for shops display, and head is fixed to her body. Iam unable to see her markings on back due to her high glued on dress, but rubbing her back with my finger it feels like there is marking there.

She will need to be carefully packed in posting due to her fragile material.

I think the doll is by the french maker Petticollin, but not sure, sometimes they were dressed in national costume and the garments were pinned into the doll.

Dolls height is 8-1/4"approx without clothes x 10" with clothes and hat..

Light wear due to dolls age and use, but generally good.
