Rare Vintage Vogue Sterling Mermaids Mermen Brooch With Opal Colored Accents shops

This rare brooch depicts two sweet stylized mermaids or mermen touching arm fins.

They both wear little crowns and have a small opal-like ball set into their tails.

This three-dimensional piece has a shops lovely design that uses gentle curving of the bodies, head and fins to show the elegance of these mythological creatures.

This piece is marked Vogue Sterling on the back of the left head. It is coated in a shiny gold tone.

The height of the piece is 2" and the width is approximately 1 1/2".

This brooch is in excellent vintage condition from the 1940s, I believe.
