Mr. Benn enters a costume dress shop on a whim and chooses a black and grey costume with the numbers 123456789 on it. No sooner has he tried it on than he finds himself in…a prison! Everything in the prison is grey and gloomy and everyone in the prison is sad. They are so sad that they spend most of their time crying! Mr. Benn can understand that being shops locked up makes people sad but he finds it hard to know why the men all cry so much until he meets Smasher Lagru, his cell mate, who explains that it is the greyness that gets everyone down so much. What can be done? Mr. Benn comes up with a plan and soon the prison is transformed into a place full of all colors of the rainbow. And everyone is very much happier
This book has the original dust jacket. The jacket shows wear with age and from being stored for so many years. Underneath the jacket the front and back covers show some age and wear as well. All pages are in good vintage condition with no rips or tears and appear clean. Illustrations still have great color and quality to them! The binding is tight. All pages are secure. Considering the age of this book it looks really good. Just a lovely book overall.
I am not an expert at books so please ask all questions prior to purchase. I recently received a large collection of vintage and antique books and cannot keep them all. So, I am offering many up for sale for others to enjoy and add to their collections. Please look at all photos prior to purchase as well.
This will be shipped in a box and carefully wrapped. Thanks for looking!
