Handmade Ceramic shops Vase

Approximately w. 8.5 cm x 20cm

Thrown by hand in clay coloured by oxide, I add a complimentary oxide clay to create a detail on the vase. Each of these vases is unique in texture and character while following the same pattern of form and size. These vases are perfect in any room of the house to display dry or fresh flowers. The natural colours of the object will complement your flowers bringing the beauty of the british landscape into your home.

Night Sky Blue- Fired to 1200ᵒC, this vase has an immersive blue interior and deep grey exterior. The internal and external surfaces are dotted with flecks of both light and dark to mimic the nuances of a clear night sky.

Spring Day Blue- Fired to 1200ᵒC, the cool and gentle tones of this vase reflect how Spring moves us from pale Winter to vivid Summer. The soothing grey exterior carries the first hints of blue sky; inside the colour is intensified by the glaze and speckled with bursts of rich blue.

River- Fired to 1200ᵒC, this vase is soft in tone. The interior is reminiscent of pale, dipping willow leaves, the exterior of shops pale sand edging a slow river bend.

All my Home collections are dishwasher safe. Hand washing is recommended for any handmade items. All my Home Collection are designed for hot and cold food and beverages.

The exterior of my Home Collection feels like a sandy stone surface; contrasted by the smooth feel of the glazed interior similar to a shiny pebble. Each of my jugs is handmade with love carrying an imperfection that makes them unique and beautiful in their own right. My hope is you will connect with your vase, it will bring them peace and rest of the countryside, and you will enjoy using it again and again.

Each of my items is unique so the object you will receive will have a slight variation, either with colour, size or shape, then the objects in the photograph, but it will carry the same high standard of craftsmanship and aesthetic.

All my objects are wrapped in my sapphire blue tissue paper held in place with a Karen Dawn Curtis' sticker. It will be encased in bubble wrap and placed in a double-walled cardboard box padded with space filler. Each item arrives ready to be used.
