Rare silver antique Anglo Boer War shops Trench Art South African Coin

Hello and thanks for visiting my shop. Vintage and antique silver and gold treasures straight from my Portobello Market stall in London!

You are looking at a rare and unique piece of Anglo Boer War Trench art. The piece has been painstakingly hand cut from a silver South African 2 shilling coin. Cut in to the shape of a shield with a hole and attached jump ring, this would make a unique piece of jewellery or as a gift to a collector of war art. Aged between 1899 and 1902 we can see the bust of the then South African president, Paul Kruger on one side and the arms of the South African republic on the other. A lovely piece in good condition.

Please note, I don't clean my antique and vintage silver pieces so they will retain their natural patina.
