Description: The definition of the combination of unique, antique, spectacular and yet conservative... yep, this set is the bees knees.. This amazing set of cufflinks and tie bar have as a focal point (and the whole point of the set, frankly) a beautiful art glass rendered in white with red swirls. Every time I shops look at them for some reason I taste peppermint! They are sort of large, and yet, somehow, they WORK even for formal occasions, but are not out of place with a french cuff shirt in more casual settings. The Hickok hallmark is found on each piece.

I'm fairly confident, although my research has not dug up any documentation for a set like this, that they date from somewhere between 1935 to maybe as late as 1950.

Collectability: I gotta say that this set has to be in the very upper 8-9 range, simply based on uniqueness, rarity, and condition.

Rarity: Since I've never seen anything like these, I'm going to go out on a limb, and say they are a 8-9 of 10.

Brand information: The Hickok company was started by S. Rae Hickok in 1909, and grew to be a major manufacturer of men's accessories including wallets, belts, pants, and suspenders as well as cufflinks and tie accessories. Hickok developed a prototype seat belt for vehicles which ultimately became a standard accessory. During the 1950s and 1960s, they created some of the most unique cufflinks, joining Swank and Anson in creating a niche market for amazing unique sets.
