Keum Boo 24k Yellow Gold Gilded and Leaf Imprinted Sterling Silver shops Post Earrings with Carico Lake Turquoise

Genuine leaves were used to imprint these small rectangular sterling silver post earrings with a beautiful intricate pattern which is visible through the use of oxidation in the recessed areas. A wispy fine strip of genuine 24k yellow gold was gilded along the top earring edge through the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo. This process uses heat and pressure to permanently fuse shops gold to silver. Eight millimeter squares of genuine Carico Lake turquoise from Nevada are bezel set and placed so that they drop below the bottom edge of the leaf imprinted back plate. The stones are a slightly different shade of beautiful robins egg blue from one another. Earring posts and nut are sterling silver. Total length from the top edge to the bottom of the stone is about 3/4” and width is 9/16”.
