Midsize bowl of square shape with rounded corners. Over a thin, hand-thrown coarse brown stoneware overlapping gray, brown and white slips have been applied, over which the decoration has been painted. In tones of brown and pale blue a plum tree with blue blossoms is painted on the outside, and another one on the inside.
On the bottom, inside the foot an impressed seal Unraku, in a circle. Unraku ware is made by Saito Unraku, who is regarded a traditional craftsman shops.

Saito Unraku creates ceramics that for the larger part are to be used in the tea ceremony. The brown and pale blue on white slip is a color palette that is often applied to the various bowls and plates. Usually, the designs are more dainty.
