Miniature Hand Sewn shops 3-1/2in. TAN/REDDISH BROWN "Perfume Bottle" Teddy Bear by Lori Wright

This is a miniature handsewn 3-1/2in. tall TAN plush upholstery fabric teddy bear, with a hidden glass vial within the torso of the bear. I also used a rich, thick reddish brown fabric for his outfit. This bear was completely handsewn and created by me, Lori Wright. He has been stitched with nylon invisible thread. He has black seed beads for his eyes. I've used dark brown cotton thread for his nose, mouth, and claws. His paw pads are made from camel ultra suede. He is string-jointed in his arms and legs, and I have inserted a small plastic stopper at the base of his head that fits onto the top of the glass vial within his torso. His head sits on his shoulders when the stopper is placed in the top of the vial. His head can rotate completely around, and is easily posed. The stopper fits snug in shops the opening of the vial; this is more of a display item rather than an item that you would put in a purse or carry in your pocket. Except for the glass vial, he has been stuffed with polyester fiberfil. (Because the vial is made of thin glass, the bear must not be crushed as the glass may break inside of him. This is not a toy for children.) As you can see in the photos, you can pose this bear in several very cute positions and he fits right in the palm of your hand. I have attached a collar of rusted bells to his shoulders. Although this is called a “perfume bottle bear”, I wouldn't recommend filling the vial full of liquid as it may spill onto the fur of the bear. With that said, I think it's a great idea if you want to add a drop or two of your favorite scent into the vial just to give the bear a sweet smell! This is a handmade novelty bear.
