Come with the tag that was attached when the previous owner purchased it at an antique store or perhaps an auction.
Front of the tag reads: From the Dutton Collection of Old Victorian Plate from England.
Back of the tag reads: Wesley D. Kasl Co. Importers.
Inside reads: #522 written in ink, and then "Number 665, Article Boat Shaped Toast Rack Circa 1885, Price $120".
Condition: The silver is heavily tarnished. I have not tried to clean it, therefore I am not sure how much of the silver plate remains. The tip of the Viking Boat is sharp and has been slightly bent out of shape.
The boat rocks back and forth.
