Harris Tweed fabric is the only fabric in the world protected by an Act of Parliament. The act stipulates it must be made with 100% pure virgin wool, dyed, spun, then hand-woven by crofters on the islands of Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra in the Outer Hebrides.
All of that leads to the kind of vintage garment that can only lead to exciting adventures of one kind or another.

Since Fit issues top the list of Return Requests, assessing measurements as accurately as possible is crucial. Vintage sizing is not the same as modern day.
Given that, even more recent fashions, driven by vanity sizing, often differ from one era, label, country, production house, designer, to another. So, to gauge a more accurate fit, measure yourself, or even better, measure personal clothing that fits you well. Compare these measurements with those of the listed item of interest. Optionally, you may also want to consider adding a 1 to 2-inch allowance for comfort ease.
