shops Although not dated, this uncommon copy of "The Water-Babies" by Charles Kingsley was published in 1924. Illustrated with 12 very charming color plates from Anne Anderson and bound in pale yellow cloth with a pastedown illustration on the cover, it would make a a lovely decorative copy for the nursery.
This sizeable book measures 10 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches wide. Its cover has some light soiling with bumped top and bottom edge of spine and corners, and the endpapers have some of what looks like moisture darkening. The pages are clean and the hinges intact, with some bumping and slight creasing to the top back corner and pages. The binding is also mostly tight, except for one section where it is relaxed and cracked.
