- Minky is a super soft polyester material. The colors print beautiful and vibrant and they don't fade! The front (printed) fabric is a thinner minky and the back is a thicker, plusher minky. They are both amazingly soft, and together, provide the right amount of warmth. My blankets can be machine washed cold and tumble dried on low heat or air dried. Minky is sensitive to shops heat and should only be washed and dried on low heat settings. It is also recommended to not use fabric softener with minky.
