In business since 1868, Keyston Bros. has grown from a small, family-owned business manufacturing and selling whips and lashes on the shops streets of Gold Rush San Francisco. Following World War I, the company began the production of toy leather holsters with scraps from the harness and saddlery operations. This became the largest contributor to the Keyston business to date and extended Keyston Bros. operations to every state in the union.
