A Mystical pack with Middle-earth cards, Map and Ring for Divination and Revelation. Beautiful pictures on the cards by Terry Donaldson (who also designed the Dragon Tarot). An Official Tolkien gift set product. Everything included.
This is a boxed set including a small hardcover book, a divining ring, mystical pack of cards (large, glossy, 40 in all), and a map of middle earth. All contents, including the charming and colorful gift box which encloses them, are in like new condition. The box is secured with a green ribbon bow. To give an enhanced description of this item, the following message is quoted from the back of the box: "The realm of Middle Earth lies within each of us, so cast the gold ring over the map, and foretell the future through the cards. 'The Lord of the Rings Oracle' is a new and extraordinary divinatory system based on the bestselling 'Lord of the Rings', by J.R.R. Tolkien, a story laden with mysterious magic."
The Lord of the Rings Oracle is based on the famous Lord of the Rings trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien. The oracle includes a golden ring, a map of Middle Earth and 40 cards showing various places, people and objects from the story. The ring is the great ring forged by Sauron. It is designed for use as a pendulum. The map represents the layout of your life. The place-names and terrain features symbolize markers along the way. The cards show highlights of the Lord of the Rings tale that are powerful archetypes. A companion book by Terry Donaldson describes how to use the oracles together and separately. There is a page devoted to each card - its relationship to the story and divinatory meaning. Finally, there is a short biography of Tolkien with key dates in his life. The set comes in a handsome cardboard box that ties with a green ribbon.
