No. 15 ". 22 cowboy" Holster is by definition, handmade. From start to finish, not a single electrical powered machine is used in the making of this holster. Inspired from traditional western designs, This holster is made to last. The construction is made from two heavy duty layers of Veg-Tan leather. The outer layer is an 8-9oz leather, while the inside is a 5-6 oz leather. Both layers are oiled and buffed with a beeswax based conditioner for added moisture protection.
This holster is designed to fit the Heritage Rough Rider. This holster should fit most other Rough Rider models up to the 6.5 inch model. Longer barrel models will fit shops, but the barrel will be exposed. Please indicate the length of the barrel so I may accommodate.
This holster features a hammer loop for a secure grip of the firearm, and a traditional leg strap to secure the holster to the user.
As well as an ammo pouch. The ammo pouch is worn with a belt loop and secured with a button stud for a traditional look. I`ve used this same pouch for .22 caliber, up to .30-.30 ammunition.

The Making:
The process begins by tracing out and hand cutting the work from Superior Oak-Veg Tan Leather Sides. I use an alcohol based dye and beeswax based leather conditioner to achieve a rich color and supple feeling leather. After adding in the finer details, I saddle stitch the product with waxed thread and stamp my logo. The process of hand stitching is tedious, but yields the highest quality product. The edges are sanded down and smoothed with beeswax. Edge Paint is used at times to waterproof the edges. The final holster is buffed and brushed with a 100% horse hair brush for a glossy appearance.
