Vintage Milk Glass Salt & Pepper Shaker Set - Vanity Brand Grocery Store Advertising Shaker Set for A. Kickbusch Grocery Co Wausau, WI

Wonderful little piece of Central Wisconsin history! This pair of ribbed milk glass spice shops shakers were used as advertising premiums of the A. Kickbusch Grocery Company -- which began business in 1888. This business was owned by August Kickbusch -- a prominent business man who became the City of Wausau Wisconsin's very first Mayor.

These shakers, are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. They both have silver metal tops that screw on/off. Each carries a silver paper label at the base, one says "BLACK PEPPER" and the other "CINNAMON." The paper labels identify that these are part of the Vanity Brand of A. Kickbusch Grocery Company of Wausau, WI.

Both are just in near-perfect condition. If you love vintage advertising -- or you collect memorabilia from Wausau, WI -- these are two of the neatest little treasures I've had in the shop.

Each shaker measures 2 1/8" at diameter at the base and stand 5.5" tall.
