Vintage Japanese shops Pagoda Intaglio Crystal Necklace Silver w Hand Etched Crystal Intaglio Pendant on 16 Inch Chain Circa 1940s-50s

This lovely Japanese pagoda themed necklace is marked SILVER on the chain's clasp and has a lovely intaglio crystal pendant.

Dating to the 1940s-50s the glass or crystal pagoda necklace is made in Japan and is all original and complete. I've looked up the earrings and bracelets with these glass intaglios and found many people claiming they are rock crystal or quartz. If that's true, I'd be surprised, as I've always assumed they were a nice quality of glass or crystal. That said, if you know of a company who made higher end authentic rock crystal versions of these, let me know.

The pagoda pendant measures approximately 1 1/2” long and 3/4” wide. It's like fabulous miniature glass sculptures, and the detail is really exquisite. The chain is silver and 16” long with SILVER stamped on the clasp.

In very good to excellent vintage preowned condition, this is original and free of any damage or repair.
