All Vests are unique shops as every fabric is a handwoven on-of-a-kind piece, that I source in Guatemala directly.

The craftily prepared outer weaving is handmade traditional Mayan brocade, which is as elaborated, contrasted and meaningful, as it is discreet and adaptable to your mood of style.

The shape of the vest “Classic” is inspired by a classic tailoring, remodeled to a more vigorous fit. That makes it a real multi-talent in styling, combinable with every imaginable look.

This well-fitting style, is made out of the ancient knowledge of the Mayan weaving craft.
Past on through generation they create fabrics that not only tell stories but the wisdom of Mayan culture, the wisdom of the universe. Informations that are almost lost, but if you dive into these amazing patterns, you'll find yourself in another world.
I highly appreciate the art-full and time consuming work of the indigenous people of Guatemala, mainly women, and want to help and support them sustaining themselves through this craft.

By using their traditional 'Huipiles' and turning them into modern robes, I also want to encourage a new view on fashion.
As fashion became something like a feast, and whatever somebody puts on the table, will be eaten. Instead of beeing told how we should look like... we should turn it into a way to express ourselves, the wonderful individuals we are.
It is way better to make something for someone perfectly fitting, than producing a piece, where a lot of time an thought went into it, for it to hang around unused.

That is why I also highly welcome those who want to have custom made clothes!
