Alice Caviness shops Brooch and Earrings

Well now that aunt Pam is in lockdown again with no shows in sight, I have had time to go through some show jewelry. These Alice Caviness pieces were priced separately, but my attic visitors deserve a special deal and they may not have started life as a set, but they are now! As you savvy shoppers may already know, Alice Caviness jewelry was made in smaller quantities and sold in specialty boutiques so you do not find a great deal of it. Alice, a model turned jewelry designer, began production in Long Island just after WWII. It is difficult to put a date on these pieces, but every single stone is prong set which is indicative of vintage jewelry. shops The stones sparkle In The right light and these photos could not capture that. The wreath circle pin is a generous two inches…the quarter for scale can fit into the center hole. The earrings are clips and both earrings and pin are clearly marked with the Caviness stamp.
