Bamboo Pendant Light, Hanging Lamp, Woven Pendant Lamp

Lamp originated from a "passive" fish-trap, a traditional utensil made by farmers in North and Northeast Thailand. Differently from the active fishing traps used to hunt the fishes, the passive ones are placed at specific spots in rivers, canals or lakes with a bait to attract fishes that can easily come into the trap but are not able to get out due to an attached piece with sharp sticks closing the entrance.

It is a lightweight lampshade that does not contain any metal structure and can be hung directly onto the electrical cord. The design combines different weaving techniques and it is as sophisticated as rustic. Made and painted by hand.
