About AXELLA Design:
AXELLA Design, first known as AXELLA Keramik, was founded around 1970 by shops ceramist Aksel Larsen in Noerresundby near Aarhus, Denmark. The pottery studio produced its characteristic stoneware designs until it shut down permanently around 1988. The best known AXELLA ceramist is Jette Helleroe, who unlike AXELLA's other designers added her personal signature on the base.
