Inspiration for the "Back to Me" series. In today's world we all seem to be going in different directions and trying to make our mark on the world. Every day we are inundated with information and news, sometimes precise but most of the time chaotic, which influences our beliefs and aspirations of not only ourselves but those around us. My intention in these paintings, through the many layers of marks, images, words shops, color, and figures that speak to me, is to try and communicate an emerging pattern of order in what is otherwise a bemused image.
