It was published in 1971 by Weatherhill in New York and Tokyo. Regarded by many shops as the most thorough history of the Netsuke traditions and creations, the book offers 700 photographs , 354 in color, showing a large number of prominent netsuke creators' signatures. 18th Century to contemporary times.
