shops Pince-nez, French for “pinch nose,” glasses were developed and popularized in the late 1800s and early 1900s. These glasses were not supported by earpieces and stayed on by gently pinching the nose. Pince-nez glasses were sported by U.S. President Teddy Roosevelt.
This lovely pair of pince-nez glasses is silver-plated. One side has a place for a chain and the other has a decorative handle. Condition is very good, nose guards need to be replaced. No marks.
Measure 4 inches across, not counting the handle or chain fob.
NOTE: You can always have the lens replaced.
