I got the idea to create and design this blanket when a close friend asked if it would be possible to make a house divided blanket. She is a big time University of Florida fan living with a big time Florida state fan. I live in a similar household being an Auburn fan living with an Alabama fan so I understood the house rivalry during football season. I scoured Pinterest and the internet and could not find a pattern for anything like it. So, I sat down and started sketching out a pattern that I thought I could do. I showed it to my friend and she fell in love with it instantly. I went on the hunt to find the perfect shades of garnet and gold and just the right shades of blue and orange and got to work to shops create the blanket you see in the photos above.
