French Sterling Silver Sugar Sifter Spoon - shops Shell Bowl

French sterling silver sugar sifter spoon or ladle with a pierced shell-shaped bowl and ornate floral design. In good vintage condition with age tarnish and surface scratches. There is a very slight bend to the handle and also a faint dimple or deeper scratch to the monogram area of handle on the front. The piece has no major shops dents, damage, splits or repairs.

It is hallmarked with the French Minerva 1st standard hallmark for .950 silver. The handle also bears the tiny Boar's head mark. The maker's stamp 'E.G.' is there but I have not yet been able to find reference for it.

The sifter measures 8 7/16 inches (21,4 cm) long and 2 5/8 inches (6,6 cm) wide across the bowl.
Weighs 52 grams.
