This is a one-of-a-kind hand made gourd pot that measures 10 1/2" diameter by 9 1/2" tall. The pot is decorated with tufts of real buffalo wool. The design is accented with abalone shell medallions and bead work detail. The beads are bone, horn and glass. The inside of the gourd is stained. The gourd is a natural item organically grown. Native American's grew and used gourds in their everyday life for storage containers, rattles, drums and more. To Native American Plains Indians of the post, the buffalo was a source of almost everything...food, clothes, shelter, bones for tools and more.
