Hardcover with stamped illustration on cover in black and orange on green cloth. Lettering on spine and stamp on back cover in black. The front cover has shops some light areas on lower right-hand corner (may have been water damage) and on the lower left back corner. (see photos) The interior pages are clean, tight, and have no stains or nicks. Previous owners' names appear on inside front cover. A very good copy of a book almost 100 years old. It is a thoughtful and touching portrait of a family and how they handle deprivation and loss. Scarce and valuable.
