Product code: Eyeware Goggles Welding Goggles Antique Steampunk shops Rare 1930s Dust Bowl

These goggles are the REAL DEAL! They are right out of the old workshop with decades of grease and dust on them.

The outside casing is durable rust colored plastic with black marbling throughout and three lightening bolts embossed on the sides. I believe this plastic is bakelite. The eyepieces screw on and off to secure the two layered pieces of glass in between- one is tinted, the other is clear. Goggles can be worn with one or both pieces of glass. The nosepiece is made from a small segment of ball chain and covered in a rubber like tubing. An adjustable elastic strap goes around the back of your head and attaches to either side of the goggles.

Particulars:
Measurements: Eyepiece- 2.25" diameter, Outside depth of eyepiece- 2"
Condition:
Eyepieces- excellent
Elastic strap- ideally needs to be replaced shops with new elastic (I'm happy to do this for you if you so choose)
Circa: 1930s 1940s

Donkey just has to get in on everything - he loves to be 'in the mix'! This guy might look like a jackass in these goggles, (because he is), but you surely won't! Pure vintage any way you look at it, these goggles are an incredible find!

The same type of goggles the men wore while driving the 'Cats' (Catepillar tractors) in the 1940 movie "The Grapes of Wrath" starring Henry Fonda.
