Original Edwardian hat straw boater shops Ridgmont Ladies

Original 20s Ridgemont straw boater. A substantialy made hard straw hat with inner lining and net. Sized as a 55, 6 3/4.

Very good wearable condition. The straw has mellowed with age giving it that wonderful warm colour. There is some nibbled areas to the brim and the straw is breaking a little at the top edge of the hat just seen under close inspection. Note the cotton chin strap is knotted. These original hats are very different to cheaper modern counterparts, they have a rigidity to them and strength much like a bowler hat. Also you will notice the brims are smaller.
