A matched pair of corresponding bookends in fine condition. The small portion to the tip to one horn is missing, but does point backwards and away from view.
There's some spots to the surface on each due to age/use.
The pair are carved so that both point outward from a bookshelf or if used on a flat tabletop surface.
They're large yet carved from a medium weight wood.
In our listings we don't ever embellish items with our own opinion of how 'beautiful' an item is, yet here, these bookends do convey 'elegance' -- it's in the craftsmanship and proportions of the animals ... these bookends are large and they have a strong presence.
Measures: 8.25 by 8.25" tall by 4.5" deep.
