shops This platter is a one of a kind, hand crafted, wheel thrown, kiln high fired, stoneware, ceramic piece. The copper and blue glaze has a shiny finish. It is a functional or decorative piece. The platter is food, dishwasher and oven safe and is suitable for serving hot or cold dishes. Being made from stoneware this platter is sturdy and can last for many years (over 100) if properly cared for. It can retain heat better than a thinner china piece. All hand made pieces have some small irregularities such as tiny pocks in the glaze, mildly imperfect round or ruff feet. This platter is signed by me the artist.
