Fabulous French antique 19C SARREGUEMINES white ironstone sauce dish / shops gravy boat with dragon head handle – tea-stained – shabby chic

Rare and beautiful gravy boat produced by the renowned French ceramics manufacturer Sarreguemines towards the end of the 1800s.
It is made of white ironstone and has an elegantly curved shape with a particularly attractive and detailed dragon's head handle.
The dish has an attached saucer to accommodate a spoon.
The saucer measures about 26cms (10.5 inches) in length, and 14.5cms (just under 6 inches) in width and the dish is about 15cms (6 inches) in height.
Excellent antique condition, with some interesting tea-staining and just a slight hairline in the saucer, barely visible on the top.
The China Sarreguemines stamp underneath was used in the last quarter of the 1800s.
These lovely old dishes can be used for sauces but also for display shops or as a holder for soaps etc.
Perfect for your shabby chic interior.
