This is a vintage, Art Deco design, Dancing Nymphs/Dance of the Nudes footed, glass sherbet/fruit cup and underplate, made by Consolidated Glass Company circa 1940's. The pieces are in a beautiful glossy green color that Consolidated Glass termed "green crystal". It's an unusual color, leaning toward the blue side and it does react to UV light. The glass design includes nymphs in relief, lithely dancing with scarves flowing. Both pieces are in excellent, pre-owned condition. The cup does have a manufacturers flaw on the rim (photo #8); a small cleft on the outer rim of the glass. Aside from this, there is minimal wear evident-no chips, scratches, flea bites, cracks or repairs to either shops piece. Please see photos for more detail on their condition. The cup measures 3-3/4"Hx3-5/8"W at the rim and weigh 7oz. The underplate measures 6-1/4" in diameter and also weighs 7oz. They were made between 1936 and 1944.
For your consideration, there are other Art Deco era items at my shop, PangiblesVintage.Etsy.com.
