The style is from Lasem which has famous vivid red natural dying. The motif is Floral. The colors are green as background and red, blue, and brown in the motifs.

Used to be worn as daily clothing as hip wrapper, tight around as sarong/bottom for Indonesian men/women especially in Java island, before the more practical western style of pants and skirts became daily clothing.

A handdrawn batik is produced through labourious work, started from hand sketching, applying wax painting on each dots and strokes to resist coloring, and accordingly successive coloring processes. Each piece can take up shops from 1-4 months of work depending on the complexity and sophistication of the motif.
