For your consideration is a bucksaw. Saws of this type were used to cut already felled trees into logs and the logs into the desired lengths (two examples would be fence posts & firewood). Saws of this type, shops came in various sizes. They were widely used in the 1920s, '30s & '40s. The part of the wooden frame, that sticks out was where the user gripped with one hand. The other hand gripped the frame between the center brace and the blade. The visible part of the blade is 27 5/8" long. The board both hands grip is approximately 25" long. The two bolts to hold the blade into the wooden frame are missing and have been replaced with wire. The wooden frame has came unglued; rather than reglue it, a previous owner reinforced it with a piece of strap iron bolted to the wooden frame. All parts show signs of age and use. Please, carefully examine the pictures, as the pictures are part of the description. Local pickup is encouraged and local pickup is free. For my bookkeeping, it is lot DGW 068.
