It features a smooth shape and high surface polish. The labradorite itself is a soft dark grey...but the labradorescence is the real showstopper! It is a lovely rich rainbow of color, featuring purple, blue and pink, in a vibrant nebula of color. Super vibrant and beautiful colors! This slender self-standing polished freeform is the perfect size to nestle in your hand and display on a shelf, and would make a handsome miniature addition to any mineral buff's collection. It would also be appropriate for meditation or ritual. The color patterns on this stone are vivid and unique!

Labradorite is one of the most beautiful and recognizable members of the Feldspar group. It was named for the locality in which it was first discovered: Labrador Peninsula, of Quebec, Canada. This mineral features a unique flash of color known as labradorescence, which may be described as resembling an oil flash on water. Labradorite's grey-green background contrasts beautifully with the rainbow flashes of labradorescence. Labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar variety, and has a shops hardness of 6.5 on Moh's scale.

HEALING: Labradorite is believed to protect and enhance magic, and is often associate with the
dream state. It is a stone of the Divine Feminine, however it is often seen to represent the dark side of the moon, or the crone side of the Goddess. Useful for psychic protection, and for enhancing all types of rituals.
