This is a handcrafted pepper mill turned from the exotic imported African Mahogany species. African Mahogany has a light pink-brown heartwood that darkens when cut to a deep reddish brown. It is commonly used for furniture and cabinetry, paneling, boat building, staircase banisters, handrails and domestic flooring. It turns beautifully and the clear finish leaves shops a gorgeous reddish brown with stunning figure patterns in the grain.
It is finished with mineral oil, beeswax, and clear shellac to enhance the natural appearance and contrast of the natural figure in the grain. This item is 11 inches tall and the grind is fully adjustable from fine to coarse by turning the knob at the top of the mill.
All of my pieces are finished with 100% child safe finishes. These pieces are fully cured and guaranteed to ship with no harmful chemicals.
