This framed watercolour painting by well known Australian painter Mollie Flaxman is in very good condition. It sits behind original mats and is in its original frame. It is titled, 'Hill Farm, Windsor and is signed lower left. There are a few flecks of paint missing beneath the barn and I can only imagine the artist has done this since I can't believe that watercolour paint would disappear. A very pretty painting. Please note, I have changed the back of this painting. The artist had used masonite on which she had written the title of the work. However, masonite causes foxing so I have changed it to an acid-free back.

Biography
Mollie Flaxman was born in 1912 and studied at East Sydney Technical College and the Royal Art Society. She studied under famous painters such as Sydney Long and William Lister Lister. She was a well known watercolourist and was a Fellowof the Royal Art Society of NSW. Her works were included in exhibitions in New Zealand 1975, New York 1976 and the UK 1977-78. She also had soloexhibitions in all the major Australian east coast cities from the 1950's. Her work is held by the Art Gallery of NSW. Mollie Flaxman passed away in 2004.
