Chinese Elder Fishing shops Caricature Original

I see the occasional image like this which somehow captures my attention for some less than obvious reason at first but then over a short time, it's intrigue grows and it stirs the interest. It is well drawn and painted on some kind of material which seems to have been carefully chosen. It does come with a rigid card mount and is shops in excellent condition.
